Football

West Lincoln Optimist sponsors both Midget and Pee Wee football teams.  The Midget team consists of young men between the ages of 11-12, other age group teams consists of young men between the ages of 7-8 for Pee Wee and 9-10 for Junior Midgets.  Conditioning practices begin around the last week of July in preparation for the upcoming season.  A football registration form can be downloaded here.  Please bring this completed form with you to sign-ups.

At West Lincoln Optimist, everyone is a winner and everyone plays.  The only exception to everyone playing would be in the event the opposing team continues to play their first string players.  We will not substitute a smaller player to play against a bigger player for the sole reason we will not purposely place any player in a potential situation where the likelihood of them being injured is greater than the normal risk.  Our coaching staff take great pride in teaching our players correct fundamentals of football as well as discipline.  These are skills that we believe will follow our young men throughout all aspects of their lives leading to many successes in the future.

2009 Sign-Up Schedule

West Lincoln Optimist Football Sign-Ups for the 2009 Season will be held on the following Wednesday evenings: 5/27, 6/3. & 6/10 from 6pm-8pm as well as on the following Saturday's: 5/30, 6/6 & 6/13 from 11am-2pm at the West Lincoln Optimist Park.  Cost will be $60 during these dates, $70 after the last sign-up date so sign up early!  Registration must be paid at time of sign up.  We will be having some mini-camps and training sessions starting soon.  Please contact Jeff Adams with any questions at (704) 913-3299.
